Chocolate Cake Boiled (5 minute version)

Boiled Chocolate Cake

Serves 6

10 Minutes to prepare/30 minutes to cook


1 Cup Water

11/4 Cups Sugar

1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda

2 Tablespoons Cocoa

125g Butter

2 Eggs, beaten

11/2 Cups Flour sifted

1 teaspoon Baking Powder


Put the oven on to moderate. 180 C. Grease and line a cake pan.

Using a medium pot put the water, sugar, bicarb, cocoa, butter in together and bring to the boil and simmer until cocoa is dissolved.

Cool for a few minutes and then add the sifted flour and baking powder and beaten eggs.

Pour into the tin.

Bake for 30 minutes.

Ice with cool.
